i have £530.00 to spend on my &year old daughters lap top, ive checked the samsung r519 and a lenovo g530 with?

lots of educational free extras, wich one would be best and who make lenovo laptops ,, cheers karlos…

8 years old and you wish to spend £530!

You are trusting that she will or her friends will not drop it.

Lenovo is the make! Its made in China. They “Lenovo” bought up the IBM brand name, in 2006-07

Educational extras, usually means “stuff” is on the drive for FREE. Its often not. You could download it yourself for no cost. So you paid your money and they rubbed their hands together.

Ask a few retailers what they suggest for £350! After they tell you you need a £400 laptop, then ask what else you could get for more money. Keep your budget secret.

Compare the resultant information.

Ask a few knowledgeable people. The IT teacher at the local primary school will not be a good to answer the question as a secondary specialist. Ask her friends what they have. We all want the most out of our cash, BUT we all have a limit to our budget. You could get two lesser Notebook computers for your budget. OR once much better laptop computer for about £350. If you double the budget then you get a Mercedes rather than a Volvo/Ford

and toshiba portege tablet

toshiba tablet review get I changed something on my laptop yesterday and now sound will only play when i plug my headphones in. I can’t remember what i clicked and i’ve been searching and trying stuff out but i can’t find or remember how did it. Any music or sound from the laptop will only play when i plug the headphones in, do you know the settings and where to go to change it back?? Thanks

p.s – i have the Samsung R519
nope, nothing!

i dont know once the same thing happened to me and what i did is you know you have your desktop and under you have a task bar where “START” is located(doesnt have to do with “START”) and at the down left corner find “VOLUME” right click VOLUME and choose Adjust Audio Properties i went to Audio…or one more is go to the same place VOLUME but chose Open Volume Control and set it cause maybe you mute something you dont have to mute.

When you plug your headphones in does a window come up with audio controls on it? If so try change details in there. Otherwise I’d suggest Control Panel -> Sound & Audio Devices and have a look at the options in there.

On the bottom right of my screen, there’s an icon of a speaker. Double click that. Shows three settings. One is speaker. Adjust speaker setting. Hope that helps.

The settings if you are using Windows 7 are located in the control panel under audio. You need to go to playback devices, and set your speakers, not your line out jack as the default playback device (this works for Vista also). If you are using XP, it will be under control panel as well, under speakers.

If neither of these options go, in the control panel should be an application called Realtek HD audio device manager (or something similar). It should have similar options about changing your default audio device.

Good luck!

Try to restore your laptop:
Start—accessories—System tools—System Restore…
then choose the closest date before the mistake.
