I am confused.
I looked at the map, heartbeat, and I admit that I own, I do not know where I let people know think that is a disgrace.
In the summer of 1990, I took a bunch of students experienced a 30-day mountaineering expeditions. This is the first day of our trip, no experience of students engaged in outdoor activities. Students have heard me, my anxiety and fear has always existed, but also in growth.

Feel uneasy and looked at his watch and realized that time is running out. The sun will soon rise up, means that the risk will continue. Taking advantage of the light, we soon arrived at the camp.
I bite my fingers, confused looked on the map identifies the mountains, back to the map. Some distance from the danger, we have a lot of water and enough food. But we are uncomfortable, and my hands were shaking, I can feel the heartbeat.
Thirty minutes later, we encountered a heavy snow. In July, at a certain altitude is rarely seen. Can not conceal that we may fail, we may have lost his way, arrived at the camp as soon as possible, everything is over.
The students gathered together and told them to quickly find their own camp in the snow, we should also soon be linked to other team.
"We lost? A student asked.
I do not know how to answer. This is not my style of leadership, leader to the self-confident, and know a lot. They should know the situation in which, and the direction to go.
I have found that leadership is 25 years of leadership experience, and other times, more emotional judgment.
If you want to become a good leader, you need to work hard to guide the anxiety prompted, emotional control, so that lost people will follow you. This is the emotional type of leadership.
One of the features is the ability to good leadership, to overcome all kinds of uncertainty and ambiguity. They are more willing to overcome the shame, embarrassment, anxiety and fear. These are the emotional type of leadership should have the courage to stick with faith. In fact, it is these feelings exist, we need courage, perseverance and faith.
The confidence comes from the leadership. No confidence there will be no solution, it is arrogance, but confidence in the people forward. Do you feel easy to get but can not give up. You have to believe in your team, if necessary, to regroup and start again.
Do not pretend you are in control, to destroy trust and increase your anxiety, and lost the opportunity to learn from each other and help of people around you.
"Yes, we lost", I admit. To be honest, I'm embarrassed. But we will get better. We will find in the morning before the other two teams. Let this as an opportunity to learn, learning how to camp in the snow.
I hope I can overcome the anxiety. Know I found the other two teams, that is, the next day, where, say I go wrong.
I have overcome the hidden pain. That night, turned out to be an exciting time this is a meaningful travel experience. This had us all confidence, even though we lost, but we will find a solution.
